It's a Sunday. Raghav wakes up first, as always, and makes two filter coffees in the steel davara-tumbler set his ajji gave them when they moved in. His: strong, two spoons of sugar. Hers: lighter, exactly half a spoon. He has never once asked. He just noticed, two years ago, on their third date.

The balcony

Ishita is on the balcony in his hoodie, the one she "borrowed" eight months ago, feet up on the cane chair, half-reading the newspaper. The neighbour's cat has decided it lives here now. The plants need watering. Nobody waters them.

He hands her the tumbler. She takes a sip, and the face she makes is the whole reason he gets up early.

The plan

"What's the plan today?" she asks.

"Nothing," he says.

"Perfect," she says.

They spend the day doing exactly that: a long breakfast, a nap, a walk to the bakery for Congress bun, an argument about which old Kannada song is the best. No photos, no reel, no milestone. Just two people who like each other, haage summane.
